Early in Seth’s scholastic years, his kindergarten teacher recommended that he be placed in a special education class rather than in a regular classroom. However, God has the last say! Seth was placed in a regular classroom and was introduced to the game of chess in the first grade. He joined the school’s chess club and played in his first chess tournament in his fourth grade year. He continued to play in tournaments all through his scholastic years including college! He enjoyed great success in chess and academics. His accomplishments include: 11th grade state champion of Ohio, placing tenth nationally for 12th graders, being a part of a national championship team in the 9th grade, and more! His main goal is to help other youths know how God has blessed him to have success in chess.
